FORM's portfolio company Daybreak, the mental health support provider for adolescents, just raised $10 million in its Series A round, led by Lightspeed Venture Partners with participation from Maven Ventures. What began years ago as an ambitious mission to help every young person overcome their mental health struggles has now grown into a large therapist network addressing the needs of thousands of youth in North America. Until Daybreak came along, 80% of youth with mental health struggles would go untreated, and for those who did eventually get help, a whopping 11 years would go by between symptom onset and start of treatment. Since its founding, Daybreak has worked hard to turn this tragedy into an opportunity to help young people live stable and happy lives. With the current capital injection, Daybreak plans to expand its services to more vulnerable youth by building a bigger team of therapists across North America. But to truly accomplish its mission, Daybreak wants to remove all accessibility barriers to its treatment program so that youth from all walks of life can get the help they all equally deserve.
